I have used much better hiring platforms. I think that indeed is lacking in most of those functions. There are no interview questions. No pre-screens. You cannot upload documents through it. You are unable to text or email in Indeed. I just feel for the cost you're better off going elsewhere.

The Indeed Hiring Platform is used across our entire organization. As a user, our hiring manager gave me access to review candidates that applied for open positions within our department. I have quick access to the resumes and job history of all our applicants. But my favorite feature was the Invites that Indeed would let us send out to potential candidates. We had a great batch of people to select from.
  • Simple user interface. It is well organized by open jobs and filters down to the best candidates.
  • Access to Indeed's database of individuals who can be invited to apply to an open position.
  • Effective communication system between employer and job candidates.
  • Sometimes the resume formatting is different from the attached resumes.
I think all people should use Indeed and keep their resumes updated on the platform. The algorithms in the database really work well to match candidates the postings within our team for all the roles within our organization. We had an employee who was retiring, so we wanted to get in a new hire quickly. We sent out invites to 10 people and selected one of them for the position. It was quick and seamless.

We are in constant need of applicants. We specifically use this platform to fill RN roles, and applicants from the hiring event are more likely to get hired versus applicants that apply to job posts who do or don't pick up the phone.

We are an employment agency and we use indeed to reach out to potential candidates for our open positions. Indeed allows us to target job-specific candidates so that our recruiters can have better time management. This allows us to streamline and find the best fit for our job openings in a timely manner.
  • Customer service is very timely.

  • They give you the ability to adjust the budget on your job postings.
  • Some candidates phone numbers do not show up.
  • Job postings and reposting jobs could be streamlined to save time.
  • The annual price increased with the merge with GlassDoor but we have not noticed an increase in the number of applicants.
Indeed is well suited in helping our recruiters streamline the hiring process by allowing us to post for job-specific positions and also allows us to have knockout questions to eliminate candidates that do not qualify for our specific job postings. It would be nice to have the ability to see if a candidate applied to multiple job postings on our job board.

We have utilized the Indeed Hiring Platform this last year to tap into the potential passive seeking job seekers or those who would not have applied with our company previously and we have found great success in this aspect. This platform has also allowed us to find a middle ground in these post-pandemic times to still establish a more personal connection with each candidate, while also appealing to the ease and convenience that candidates are seeking during these times.

I was personally responsible for the set-up of the events as well as managing the overall execution, and I can attest that from start to finish, this process was smooth and seamless. The feedback from my team as well as Hiring Manager who was conducting interviews was extremely positive.
  • The set-up of the event asks for important details to maximize the effectiveness of the event, but is also very simple.
  • The opportunity for you to create more personal connections with each candidate, while also providing a virtual hiring experience.
  • The actual hiring event platform that is utilized during the execution of the event is simple, user-friendly, and aesthetically pleasing.
  • There are times when multiple people would enter the same interviewing room at the same time, which would create an awkward experience for the candidate/hiring managers. Perhaps if there was a function that said "Hiring Manager 1 is already in this room, are you sure you would like to proceed in entering at this time?" would alleviate that issue.
I think that this platform is versatile in the sense that it could be used to recruit for a number of different roles, however, I could see this being less effective for senior leadership to executive-level roles.

Indeed Hiring Platform is currently used for our hiring needs. We use it to post open job for individuals to apply for. Because we are a relatively small employer, we essentially use Indeed as our de facto ATS system. We use Indeed to communicate back and forth with candidates on interview times.

  • Constant issues with system being down.
As a relatively small employer, Indeed Hiring Platform does a good job of getting our jobs out there for individuals to apply for. We essentially use Indeed to monitor candidates applying, and it is well-suited to getting the jobs published and out there. Their communication tools with candidates are set up well. If we were a larger employer with our own jobs page, I don't see Indeed as a great fit.

We use Indeed in all areas of our recruiting/hiring. It is a great platform to get our jobs out in front of 10's of thousands of job seekers for little to no cost to the company. I have two recruiters under me that currently rely solely on Indeed to fill our call center agent positions, as well as myself for our high-level executive and tech jobs.

  • Gets your jobs in front of a Large audience.
  • Offers in account messaging.
  • Pausing or Vetoing jobs without our knowledge.
  • The Indeed Recruiter is not a success, it doesn't work well in my opinion.
Indeed is perfect for a low recruiting budget. It was the only platform we had had for a very long time, and it served us well. We are a very large company with Sites all over the US and Canada, with each of our 31 offices having their own Indeed accounts, so sometimes it is hard to get my new recruiters set up with an account, as they think it is fraudulent, and I often have to get on the phone with them to verify the user as our Corporate office is in PA., but we are largely remote, so we have people from around the country.

We have used the Indeed Hiring Platform for in-person and virtual career fairs, to attract and hire various positions. The scope of use what 2-3 times for a quarter, and during a trial period, and it was successful.

It is best suited for well-known positions like therapist and case manager. We were able to get exceptional results from this. If you have a decent pool for a position, you will get a more targeted approach and a lot from the Indeed Hiring Platform. The first time using it, I used it for the Caregiver job. We barely get applicants for this position, to begin with, using Indeed Hiring Platform was not successful for that role. So back to the philosophy, if you don't get a lot of applicants for a position, do not expect Indeed Hiring Platform to necessarily change that.

We currently use the platform to sponsor tough-to-fill job postings and sponsor hiring events we hold in different locations. I manage the users- move contacts and assign subscriptions.
  • Sponsor events, not just jobs. We've had a number of attendees from Indeed come out to events so we see these sponsorships working.
  • Hashtag method is effective.
  • Reporting data and analytics tab is very useful.
  • Although we have a sponsored jobs agreement, so candidates are directed to our website to apply, I have heard recruiters say the old view to where you can see the candidates that applied through Indeed is helpful.
  • Disabling job posting permissions from certain users would be helpful. Only admin should be able to post jobs (that aren't free). It would help better manage our invoicing and billing with Indeed.
Karl P. is an excellent employee who has made our team feel like the Indeed Hiring Platform is well suited for us. Has helped us figure out our budget for certain events and how to best manage our budget and account. We have had trouble closing individual accounts that are part of our team and should be under only one account.

We have utilized it to help drive volume for staffing customer service representatives in OKC and DFW. This tool has been effective in helping us identify new candidates that we had not contacted previously.

  • Interview rooms - there are times when candidates are bombarded by more than one recruiter because there's a lack of visibility amongst the recruiting team when a candidate has already been connected with a recruiter. This causes some confusion for all parties and isn't the best experience for candidates.
I think the Indeed Hiring Platform is a great option for high-volume hiring efforts. It's an easy way to get an influx of qualified candidates quickly and seamlessly. I have only used it for high-volume roles, but I don't know that I would recommend it for higher-level, more specialized roles.

We use the Open Call Virtual Indeed platform for our hard-to-fill entry-level roles. We have a large industry that caters to many different intricate roles and responsibilities that may be hard to find in the masses.

I use Indeed Virtual Hiring Events and Indeed Sponsored jobs to help recruit and hire for various positions within my company. Utilizing these platforms has helped to increase candidate volume and provide stronger quality of candidates for my organization. Indeed Hiring Platform has served to decrease my time to hire by providing a higher volume of ready-to-work candidates.

We use the Indeed Hiring Platform for virtual hiring events. We spotlight some of our main job openings in an effort to connect with a high volume of candidates interested in working with us that we may not have reached before.

  • Simple for users to join interview rooms or go on breaks

  • Reports after events with candidate resume and contact information is great
  • Notes section during interviews needs to remain open after interview finishes
  • Notes section needs to be able to be exported as word doc or pdf
  • When selecting jobs to promote for an event, there needs to be a way to make it more specific besides just saying in the description the location
  • Set up of hiring event can be tedious and not very user friendly
The Indeed Hiring Platform is great at getting a high turnout of candidates for certain entry-level roles. The follow-up on Indeed's side with candidates that missed the event but RSVP'd is also a great feature. It is hard to promote all roles in the company with the event, and instead, you need to select very specific job titles and locations.

I use the Indeed Hiring Platform to post positions so candidates can apply with the easy apply function. With the easy apply function, it's easier to get more candidates, especially for some entry-level positions such as Front Office Rep and Direct Care Provider. Without creating another account or entering all the information again, easy apply is more convenient for the candidates.

  • The virtual career fair function is great!
  • The dashboard looks different here and there. Sometimes it was updated to a new look, and then a few days later, it went back to the old one.
  • User management is not very easy to use.
  • I can't see the candidate's phone number unless I'm on the message page.
We were able to receive more candidates for some positions than our company website. Retrieving information from the company website is easy, so I don't need to take a lot of extra time to post a position on the platform. However, I can only see the candidate's phone number once they respond to my Indeed message so that I could see their phone number on the message page. If they don't respond, then I wouldn't be able to know the phone number and reach out in a different way.

Due to the pandemic, we had to pivot from holding in-person hiring events and interviews for store openings and the Indeed Hiring Platform provided the virtual experience we were looking for with a brand that we trusted. We're still a younger brand that is working on our brand recognition and we knew that advertising virtual hiring events on our own wouldn't yield a great turnout, so partnering with Indeed gave us the visibility we were wanting and the ability to make great hires quickly, easily, and safely.

  • Great customer service to support new and existing users to the platform
  • Easy user experience for both the manager and candidate
  • It'd be helpful to have a chat feature available to candidates in the lobby that is separate from the text box you put your welcome message in.
  • Have the resume attached to the candidate profile prior to the interview, or provide the candidate's resume along with the daily spreadsheet. Our managers like to review resumes prior to interviews so that would be helpful.
  • This is more on the backend - the cost of the platform is an investment so you would think that would mean the dollars you're investing are going towards the events you're scheduling. It was surprising to me when I was told that we still needed to have a budget to sponsor the events.
We have a chain of C-stores, so the Indeed Hiring Platform has been extremely helpful for conducting more frequent interviews that support higher attendance. Our store managers appreciate being able to speak to more people back-to-back and they're impressed with the quality of candidates that have come through this platform.

We use the Indeed Hiring Platform to conduct hiring events for large volume hiring needs. By conducting multiple back-to-back virtual interviews we are able to connect with more individuals, better assess their interest in the position, and level of professionalism.

The Indeed Hiring events have added additional stress due to the excessive amount of candidates being allowed to sign up without having a proper pre-screening system. The overwhelming amount of underqualified and underprepared candidates causes an inability to meet with all potentially qualified candidates. This also creates confusion and frustration for candidates as it is impossible to meet with the large number signed up at one time with a limited amount of recruiters per organization.

We used the Indeed Hiring Platform to conduct 2 separate hiring events for specific positions we need to hire for. Overall we liked the platform but there were some things we would have liked to have before interviewing candidates. For example, making it a requirement to upload a resume is something that was very important for our interview process. Also, to be able to see a candidate's name and what time they signed up for so we can be sure it is not someone we have spoken to or worked with previously/be able to prepare a little bit better as far as who we will be interviewing. And lastly, it would be a nice feature to be able to see who is active and able to interview as far as our employees when they log into the platform. I had to create a group chat elsewhere to organize the flow of interviews.

  • Creating a user friendly system that is easy to navigate.
  • It would have been very helpful to see a list of names and times that candidates had signed up for, prior to the event.

We use this hiring platform to conduct Open Interviews for a variety of positions within this company. The biggest problem that we have at this moment, was the change with the RSVP spreadsheet. Since we are a mental health/substance use treatment center, we have a database of patients. Before considering someone for employment, we need to check their personal information in our database to confirm they are not a current user of our services or have used it within the last 3 years. If someone falls in that bucket, we can not consider them for employment. So with the new RSVP spreadsheet that is sent to us on a daily basis to track our RSVPs once an event is collecting RSVPs, we can't see their information at all to check if they can be considered or not. Prior to the new spreadsheet, we were able to contact these applicants prior to the event to let them know they could not be considered so we didn't waste their time, as well as our interviewer's time.

The platform is well suited when it comes to functionality. When living in the event, things run smooth and I don't often run into any issues with navigating the event. I just wish the RSVP spreadsheet was back to how it was previously used as not being able to pre-screen our candidates before the event has caused a few issues on our end of things. I also think there could be more functions in the event to communicate with the other interviewers.

I am the SME for virtual events for my TA team. We use Indeed to source new candidates and to conduct virtual hiring events, targeting key roles that are hard to fill.
  • The virtual event dashboard is incredibly user friendly.
  • The way it breaks down who has RSVP'd for the events is very helpful.
  • The post-event reports help us contact those who were unable to actually attend the event, those are nice to have.
  • It would be nice to be able to see resumes for the RSVPs before the actual event.
With the pandemic, the virtual events have been a God send. They have proven that it can save time and resources by conducting virtual interviews and events.
